#92 reopened enhancement

Delete output file if input file is corrupt

Description

If Keka is given a corrupted 7z file for expansion, it gives an error message that persists until the user closes the message window. That's a good feature because the user is not apt to overlook the error.

However, Keka leaves a useless output file behind. At best, this is a nuisance because the user must delete it. At worst, it could cause a problem if the user forgets or overlooks the need to delete it and tries to open it later.

So I request that Keka delete corrupt output files automatically.

Imagine a case where you need to uncompress a file, and some of it's contents are corrupt but the files you need aren't.

It makes no sense to delete that corrupted extraction since the extracted part is what you need.

First, you seem to be assuming the archive contains more than 1 file. If there's only one, I think it should be deleted.

Second, if there's more than one file, how is the user to know which one(s) are corrupt and which aren't? Perhaps a "corrupt" file extension could be added to the bad one(s)?
